MARK STRYKER: Arild Remmereit steps in at DSO podium
Detroit Symphony Orchestra music director Leonard Slatkin remains sidelined as he recovers from a heart attack he suffered at the beginning of the month. For its post-Thanksgiving weekend concerts the orchestra has turned to the fast-rising Norwegian conductor Arild Remmereit, who has developed a sharp rapport in three previous appearances with the DSO.
