Marsalis pays tribute to Louis Armstrong in film

Trumpeter Wynton Marsalis, one of the most famous sons of New Orleans, has always felt a special kinship with Louis Armstrong -- the Gabriel of the 20th Century, who came roaring out of the Crescent City nearly 100 years ago and, more than any other single individual, established the improvised solo and swing as fundamental to the art of jazz.
