Matrix wrings a new song from familiar 'Mockingbird'

Staging a production of "To Kill a Mockingbird" is daunting, and not just because the show has so many characters onstage. Those characters, introduced in Harper Lee's Pulitzer-winning 1960 novel, have been more or less defined by the 1962 movie version of the play, especially Gregory Peck's performance as crusading Depression-era lawyer Atticus Finch.
