There was TOTP, the O-Zone, Popworld and (even longer ago) The Tube or The Old Grey Whistle Test. Now there’s Abbey Road Debuts, a new programme presented by Tom Ravenscroft (him off BBC 6 Music). It features one band each week and in this series, that starts on April 6th, there will be performances from Trophy Wife, Lower Dens and Dark Dark Dark. How’s that for proper indie....
