Neko Case Chicago show reviewed ¿ she leaves crowd wanting more

Neko Case is often categorized as an alt-country artist, but even more than most acts under that nebulous banner, the subgenre doesn't quite do her justice. Sure, Case frequently touches on country, but country is just one of many styles she's subsumed into her subtly idiosyncratic music. The "alt" part, however, still fits, if only because Case and her songs increasingly don't.
