On "Mild Confusion" downcast San Francisco/New York group Tamaryn make like Siouxie Sioux singing over a heavily warped, all-consuming Dead Can Dance (or non-warped My Bloody Valentine) backing track. The quartet stick to the dark, thickly atmospheric feel across any number of songs, but the sounds collide most daringly (and less Jarboe-ly) on this one.
