As an general lover of all things Jim James/My Morning Jacket, I must admit that the Monsters Of Folk project (Conor Oberst, Jim James, M. Ward, Mike Mogis) has left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. Beyond their KISS cover band antics, I've barely felt any desire to pay attention.
