November 1986 Fela Kuti performance at Fox Theatre to be released this spring

A musical treat is on the way this spring for Detroit fans of Fela Kuti. A recording of a show Kuti performed at the Fox Theatre in November 1986 will be released May 8 by Knitting Factory Records. It's the first new material from the late Nigerian musician-activist since his final studio album, "Underground System," was released in 1992.
