Parks, Sellers at peace with end of 'American Idol' quest
Two promising Chicago area singers got the boot Thursday from TV's widely watched talent/popularity contest, "American Idol." John Park, 21, and Jermaine Sellers, 27, were voted off after
performing John Mayer's "Gravity" and Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On,"
respectively. Along with two others, they're the latest "Idol" aspirants to be nixed from the show's Top 20. Mount Prospect's Lee Dewyze and Chicago-auditioner Katelyn Epperly (of West Des Moines, Iowa) are still in the running.
