Pianist Glasper plays Jazz Café tonight

In his early 30s, pianist Robert Glasper is making some of the most intriguing music in jazz. He marries the sophisticated melodic-harmonic language of icons like Herbie Hancock with pulsating grooves that find common ground between contemporary swing rhythms, hip-hop and funk.
