The versatile veteran pianist Hal Galper has done it all in jazz, from early apprenticeships with Sam Rivers and Chet Baker in the '60s to important stints with Cannonball Adderley in the 1970s and Phil Woods in the 1980s to more recent work at the helm of his invigorating trios.
