RLPO/Ottavio Dantone/Désirée Rancatore – review

Philharmonic Hall, LiverpoolTwo Italian debutants, Ottavio Dantone and Désirée Rancatore, have left me rather fazed. Neither is unfamiliar in the UK. Dantone, tall, willowy and elegant, is music director of the Ravenna-based Accademia Bizantina, occasional guests at London's Barbican.
