Review: Handel dances in Mark Morris' 'Acis and Galatea'

Movement mimics activity in the 'Acis and Galatea' score as the love story of a shepherd and a nymph is made into a lively, unpredictable hybrid of opera and dance. BERKELEY — Acis, a shepherd, and Galatea, a nymph, are in love. The jealous giant Polyphemus brains Acis. Galatea uses her divine powers to restore her slain swain into a fountain, gently purring eternal love.
