Russell Brand to play legendary swordsman

Russell Brand will play a swashbuckling 14th century hero in a new action comedy. The former NME Awards host, who is currently starring in comedy Get Him To The Greek, is in talks to play the title role in Hawkwood, based on the life of 14th century mercenary John Hawkwood.
