Sholi’s “Dreams Before People” EP Review

Quarterstick Records recently signed San Francisco trio Sholi to their roster.  They’ll also be releasing Sholi’s S/T debut album in February of next year (and produced by Greg Saunier of Deerhoof).  I was recently able to listen to their first EP Dreams Before People.  I was grabbed by their strange formula of avante/indie rock.  The track “All That We Can See” was the song that hooked me.  It starts of with an intro of rough rhythms brewing into a tight rock verse ...
