In his day job fronting Sonic Youth, Thurston Moore is working on the release of an ominous-sounding new album, "The Eternal." Before then, however, he'll work out some of his freakier, noisier impulses at this solo show at the Smell. If Moore were an L.A. teenager today, he would likely have keys to the joint by now.
