Stephen Daw obituary

Stephen Daw, who has died aged 68 of pneumonia and complications arising from diabetes, was one of the most distinguished British Bach scholars of his generation. His book The Music of Johann Sebastian Bach, The Choral Works (1981) was internationally acclaimed and he contributed to two companions on the composer.
