STP was always the red-headed step-child of 90s alternative rock. When they first came out, they were belittled for being a Pearl Jam knock-off. Despite the negativity, Core was a hit. But it was their follow-up, Purple, where they stood up for themselves. That album, in my opinion, is one of the most underrated albums of the 90s.
