The Academy Is ... what it's been

At a hometown show celebrating the anniversary of its first album release, The Academy Is ... reminded us Saturday night that while much can change in five years, just as much can stay the same. There they were, on stage at the Metro, playing to a crowd that seemed to anticipate every move, ripping through their first album, "Almost Here," with the same voracity that catapulted them in the national consciousness.
