The Beatles remastered – worth the money?

After a couple of decades of waiting, the Beatles are set to re-release all of their albums as digitally remastered CDs. Engineers at EMI’s Abbey Road studios have apparently spent four years reworking their 12 albums. A statement says the remasters “utilise state-of-the-art recording technology alongside vintage studio equipment [and] carefully maintaining the authenticity and integrity of the original analogue recordings”.
