I’m assuming the new Smashing Pumpkins single, “Tiberius,” is a reference to the Roman emperor, not the original Star Trek captain’s middle name, but the latter explanation wouldn’t be a bad one: Smashing Pumpkins fans are nearly as obsessive as Trekkers/Trekkies.
