The Weepies are an indie pop-folk band fronted by singer-songwriters Deb Talan and Steve Tannen. Their music has been described as "subtly intoxicating folk-pop". The two musicians, who were both active in separate singer-songwriter careers, met in 2001 at a show Tannen was playing at Club Passim in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
