This Makes Me Sad

I seem to fall prey to a recurring phenomenon when it comes to new albums that come out just after ones I absolutely loved. I usually hate them. Well, hate is a strong word, but I find I hardly ever love them and very often I really dislike them. I'm trying to figure out why this is.
