Today in pop-culture history: 'The Day the Music Died'

On Feb. 3, 1959, a small plane carrying Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson crashed in a snowy Iowa cornfield. More than 50 years later, the loss of these talents is still felt -- and the story is still terribly sad to hear.
