Turns out the dippy punning on Britney Spears' "If U Seek Amy" has a somewhat storied history in popular music, from Memphis Slim's 1963 "If You See Kay" to similarly-titled tracks from the Poster Children and Turbonegro. And apparently, similar turns of phrase stretch back through literature from Joyce (n Ulysses — "If you see kay/Tell him he may/See you in tea/Tell him from me") to Shakespeare, both of whom were additionally adept at hiding other obscenities. Perhaps Max Martin should write...
