A rock 'n' roller who both respects tradition and loves to try something new, Neil Young explores amazing sonic territory on "Le Noise" (**** out of four stars, Reprise). The album title is a play on the last name of his collaborator, Daniel Lanois, the producer and musician best known for his work with U2 ("The Joshua Tree") and Bob Dylan ("Time Out of Mind").
