Before the boys in Florida indie-rock outfit Surfer Blood teamed up to release their BNM'd debut, Astro Coast, guitarist Thomas Fekete, bassist Brian Black, and touring percussionist Marcos Marchesani played pigfuck thrash-punk together under the moniker of Weird Wives, along with vocalist and non-Surfer Nick Klein.
