Why I Can't Clean Out the Basement, a Metaphor for My Life

Periodically, my husband and I discuss cleaning out the basement. It's a mess down there. If we could just get rid of all the shit that's accumulated over the past 20 or so years, we'd have a lot more room and, more importantly, we'd feel so much better.
