Willie Mitchell, Memphis Musician and Producer, Dies at 81

Willie Mitchell, a Memphis musician and producer who made several hits with Al Green, died Tuesday morning. According to the Associated Press, the 81-year-old suffered cardiac arrest on Dec. 19 and died at Memphis' Methodist University Hospital.Born in Ashland, Miss., Mitchell grew up playing the trumpet and later moved to Memphis.
