Guided By Voices – “Lucy’s World”

On Halloween we’ll be graced by the 42nd Guided By Voices LP, which boasts the evocative title Thick, Rich And Delicious. The singles so far have also been well-named: “(You Can’t Go Back To) Oxford Talawanda” and “Phantasmagoric Upstarts.” This week we get a more simplistic phrase, “Lucy’s World,” but dang the song is good — one of my favorite GBV tracks in recent memory.
