Hong Kong Lagoon

Could Hong Kong be the desert island immortalized by the long-running Radio 4 programme? I was driving in London recently in the company of a friend from Taiwan with a recording of Eric Coates' 'By The Sleepy Lagoon' on the CD player. "Ah, this is a Chinese song," he exclaimed, "Very popular in Taiwan. It's called 'Lover's Tears'". Of course we in the UK know it as the theme music of that cherished radio program...
